Expert Tree Care in the Chicago Area since 1985 |
Elk Grove Village was named after the native elk that roamed northern Illinois forests and grasslands and is now home to nearly 35,000 people who have come to appreciate the exceptional community. Fifty Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family by Melissa Giovagnoli included Elk Grove Village for its excellent parks and recreation, schools, access to transportation, varied housing stock, vibrant economy, low crime rate, exceptional community service, and small-town atmosphere.
The Department of Public Works provides essential services key in maintaining and improving the quality of life for our residents and businesses. Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of the parkway trees and landscape beds that beautify our neighborhoods. Elk Grove Village is home to the Elk Grove Village Park District. It is a separate government entity with numerous opportunities for residents. The Land and Forestry division of the Public Works Department provides explanations of the efforts being made to preserve and maintain the Village urban forests.
