TREE CARE IN WHEELING

Wheeling Tree Care

Located in the heart of Chicago's prestigious northern suburbs, Wheeling is a diverse and dynamic community of 40,000 people, distinguished by its unique balance of industry, commercial development, and residential neighborhoods. Wheeling boasts a wide selection of housing options to serve the needs of potential residents, including world-class luxury condominiums, affordable rental properties in a variety of sizes, and single-family homes on tree-lined streets.

Wheeling Park District and Cook County Forest Preserve facilities also provide opportunities for recreation and for restorative contact with the natural world.

The Public Works Department maintains parkway trees, various municipal parks, fountains, cemetery, commuter railroad station and parking lots as well as municipal fleet.

The Forestry Division proactively cares for Wheeling's Urban Forest using standards set forth by the International Society of Arboriculture and Best Management Practices. The Forestry Division will continue to provide effective communication to the citizens, village employees, village board and developers with the respect to landscaping, tree planting, tree preservation, tree care and the enforcement of the Wheeling City Code to help protect and preserve Wheeling's Urban Forest for present and future generations.
